There are many activities for kids when you visit Key West, Florida. You can take the Conch Tour Train, or visit the Butterfly and Nature Conservatory. If you are traveling with a toddler, you can take the Key West Key Train for free. The Key West Aquarium is another great option.

Conch Tour Train

Since 1958, the Conch Tour Train has entertained tourists and visitors to Key West. This historic railroad has been a popular attraction in Florida since then. It has entertained more than 15 million passengers and its staff has entertained visitors with the legends of Ernest Hemingway as well as the Key West lore.

Key West Aquarium

The Key West Aquarium is located on Whitehead Street. It is the only public aquarium within Key West. It also has Historic Marker 52.

Key West Shipwreck Museum

Nancy Forrester’s Secret Garden

If you’re looking for a fun day out in Key West with your kids, try Nancy Forrester’s Secret Garden. Nancy Forrester, an environmental activist, founded the sanctuary decades ago. It was established by Nancy Forrester to provide safe and happy homes for parrots. Visitors can spend time with the birds and interact with them. You can even learn more about the birds at the sanctuary by attending the “Parrot 101” daily presentation.
