The museum is open to all ages and is free to visit. On Saturdays, the museum offers special workshops for children. These workshops are led in monkey-shaped guides who will give an overview of the works displayed. These guides are Spanish-speaking and will teach the kids about the different pieces of art. The workshop will have the children searching for four items within a painting of a dining area.

Xochimilco canals

The canals and their natural surroundings are a great place to take the kids when you’re visiting Mexico City. Whether you are a parent, or a tourist, the Xochimilco Canals are a great place to take your kids and also see the city’s past. You can rent a paddle boat to navigate the canals and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Families can also enjoy the many picnic areas and barbecue facilities.
